Liverpool have reportedly held talks with agent Jorge Mendes regarding a potential permanent move for Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde. The Spain international is said to be open to leaving the Catalan club due to a lack of playing opportunities, with Liverpool exploring options to strengthen their squad under sporting director Julian Ward.
Anfield Watch notes that Liverpool require reinforcements at left-back, as Kostas Tsimikas faces an expiring contract following his return from AS Roma. The report indicates that a transfer could potentially materialize as early as the January window to provide long-term depth.
