Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool right-back Jeremie Frimpong, according to journalist Juan Jesus. The Dutch defender has allegedly struggled to adapt to England and does not feature heavily in manager Andoni Iraola's plans, with Liverpool reportedly open to sanctioning a permanent departure for a fee around €35 million.
Frimpong has fallen behind Ronald Araujo in the pecking order at Anfield and faces further competition once Conor Bradley returns from injury. Writer Zak Anderton argues that Liverpool should seriously consider accepting an offer of €35 million from Barcelona given the defender's limited playing time and surplus status.
