Liverpool could lose yet another one of their players to Real Madrid.
Real Madrid reportedly sent scouts to monitor Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz during the Reds' 3-0 defeat against Manchester City on Sunday. According to a report from TEAMtalk cited by Anfield Watch, the Spanish club had representatives watching the 23-year-old German international, alongside teammate Alexis Mac Allister and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Zak Anderton of Anfield Watch argues that Liverpool should only consider selling Wirtz if they can secure a profit on his £116 million permanent transfer fee. The writer notes that while Wirtz has struggled for form under manager Andoni Iraola, his age and potential mean Liverpool should not take a financial loss.
