Liverpool have reportedly submitted a record-breaking offer exceeding $50 million (£37.7 million) to sign 17-year-old midfielder Gilberto Mora from Xolos de Tijuana. According to TUDN broadcaster David Faitelson, Mora's representative, Rafaela Pimenta, notified the Mexican club about the bid from the Premier League side as negotiations progress.
Mora, who turns 18 next week, was absent from Mexico's recent friendlies under head coach Rafael Márquez, which Faitelson linked to ongoing transfer talks. The permanent transfer would allow Mora to move to Anfield in January 2027 once he is eligible to play outside Mexico.
