Manchester City have been found guilty on 114 counts of breaching the Premier League's financial rules and 'the majority of charges' relating to failing to co-operate with the Premier League investigation

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has stated that the UK Government will not interfere in Manchester City's financial charges case following a guilty verdict on 114 counts of breaching Premier League financial rules. Speaking to talkSPORT, Nandy insisted that resolving the charges is entirely up to football authorities, despite concerns over potential political intervention and diplomatic fallout involving City's Abu Dhabi ownership.
Manchester City have appealed the verdict, maintaining they have irrefutable evidence proving their innocence. Nandy noted that while the government will not influence the ongoing tribunal proceedings, the newly established Independent Football Regulator holds the power to intervene and potentially remove club owners if they are ultimately determined to be unfit.
