Manchester City forward Erling Haaland did not train ahead of the Champions League match at home to AEK Athens

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland was absent from training on Monday after limping off the field during Saturday's Premier League victory against Ipswich. The forward is now viewed as likely to miss the upcoming UEFA Champions League match at home against AEK Athens, and he remains a doubt for the weekend Premier League clash with Aston Villa.
Haaland was one of five players who sat out the session, joining Mateo Kovacic, Matheus Nunes, Nico O'Reilly, and Antoine Semenyo. Manager Enzo Maresca confirmed Semenyo faces approximately eight weeks on the sidelines due to a knee issue, while youngsters Kaden Braithwaite, Floyd Samba, and Ryan McAidoo were drafted into first-team training.
