Manchester City have been sent another brutal 115 charges verdict with ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino making his thoughts clear

Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino stated that no sanction on Manchester City can repair the damage if the club's financial rule breaches are proven. Speaking at a press conference as the United States national team manager on September 29, 2026, Pochettino questioned what fair punishment could exist after referencing a guilty verdict across 114 charges while noting Manchester City maintains its innocence and plans to appeal.
Pochettino also criticized the Premier League for a historical lack of regulatory control, contrasting his financial constraints during an 18-month transfer drought at Tottenham with the leniency shown to others. He cited point deductions and fines previously given to Everton and Nottingham Forest, arguing that a lack of sporting justice placed competing clubs at a significant disadvantage.
