Manchester City are set to return to action for the first time since the verdict of 115 Premier League charges when they face Liverpool at Anfield

Manchester City were found guilty of 114 Premier League charges by an independent commission but cleared of a single charge regarding their obligations of co-operation and utmost good faith. The ruling concluded that the club committed multiple violations between 2009 and 2023, including failing to provide accurate financial accounts and concealing remuneration details for managers and players.
The findings also determined that City breached UEFA's financial regulations, violated Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules, and failed to co-operate with investigations. Manchester City continue to maintain their innocence and have officially appealed the verdict, which will now be reviewed by a new three-person panel before penalties are determined.
