Brian Brobbey became the eighth player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick against Man City in Sunderland's 5-3 loss on Sunday.

Sunderland forward Brian Brobbey scored a hat-trick against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium despite his team losing 5-3. The 24-year-old Dutch forward became only the eighth player to score three goals in a single game against Manchester City.
Brobbey joined a rare list of players that also includes Andrei Kanchelskis from his 1994 treble for Manchester United. Other historic hat-tricks against Manchester City featured West Ham forward Tony Cottee in 1994 and Liverpool striker Michael Owen in 2002.
