Ex-Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo could face a major punishment after his abrupt departure from Portugal’s training camp.

Former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo faces a potential suspension of one to six months after abruptly leaving Portugal's national team camp. Following a Nations League match where he was an unused substitute, manager Jorge Jesus initially dismissed reports of internal conflict during a press conference. However, Ronaldo announced on social media shortly afterward that he had decided to leave the camp following talks with the Portuguese Football Federation president.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Ronaldo's sudden departure breaches FPF disciplinary regulations regarding unexcused absences from national team duty. In addition to a potential ban lasting up to six months, the regulations stipulate an automatic provisional suspension and a financial fine. Ronaldo stated he would eventually share the full reasons behind his departure with supporters.
