INEOS may address Manchester United's squad issues in January if form does not improve, with funds available, says Fabrizio Romano.

Manchester United co-owners INEOS are reportedly prepared to make signings during the January transfer window to support head coach Michael Carrick. According to Fabrizio Romano, the club retains unused budget from the summer and will consider making reinforcements if suitable players become available and current form remains poor. Carrick had previously requested a left-back and a backup striker ahead of United's difficult start to the season.
The Peoples Person writer Ayantan Chowdhury argues that INEOS previously let Carrick down by prioritizing midfield additions over squad depth in defense and attack. Chowdhury notes that United's spending activity in the winter market will largely depend on the team's performances and results leading up to January.
