Eva Olid says honest talks after Manchester United Women’s 5-0 Chelsea defeat helped spark four straight wins before Charlton next.

Manchester United Women head coach Eva Olid explained that candid conversations following a 5-0 defeat to Chelsea sparked the team's recent turnaround. Ahead of a fixture against Charlton Athletic on October 18, Olid noted that discussions between staff and players helped foster greater connection and understanding, leading to a four-game winning streak across all competitions.
United had opened the campaign with losses against London City Lionesses and Chelsea before drawing 1-1 with Arsenal and earning four consecutive victories. Olid also reorganized backroom staff duties during the international break, praised assistant José Herrera, and welcomed captain Maya Le Tissier back following her first international goal.
