INEOS are unlikely to sack Michael Carrick during the international break as the club continues to assess managerial options amid struggles.

Manchester United owners INEOS are reportedly unlikely to sack manager Michael Carrick during the international break following an eight-goal 4-4 draw against Aston Villa. Carrick was initially under pressure and facing reassessment after a poor run of form. However, a Champions League win over AS Roma and United's spirited comeback from two goals down against Villa have provided Carrick with continued backing from the squad and supporters.
Journalist Laurie Whitwell reported on the Talk of The Devils podcast that there is no immediate urgency from the hierarchy to dismiss Carrick. INEOS has also faced difficulties securing a concrete managerial alternative, as Julian Nagelsmann turned down an approach, Eddie Howe lacks unanimous board support, and other candidates present complications.
