As JJ Gabriel closes in on a switch to Real Madrid, he and his family have landed a final gut punch to Manchester United.

Manchester United prospect JJ Gabriel and his representatives have cut off communications with the club ahead of an anticipated permanent transfer to Real Madrid. The 16-year-old formally requested his release from United in September, leaving club officials in the dark regarding his plans after efforts to reach his family out of concern for his well-being were repeatedly rebuffed.
Gabriel is expected to sign a long-term deal with Real Madrid in January, subject to FIFA regulations governing transfers of minors. The Spanish club has reportedly created a fast-track pathway to their first team, with Gabriel initially expected to feature for their reserve side, Real Madrid Castilla.
