Wonderkid pushing for transfer to Europe as Red Devils work to convince him to stay
Manchester United have formally offered 16-year-old JJ Gabriel a scholarship contract in an effort to convince the forward to remain at the club. Gabriel had previously surprised United by requesting to be deregistered so he could depart as a free agent, reportedly due to concerns over first-team opportunities.
Despite the scholarship offer, Gabriel is still expected to leave after missing training for three weeks. Premier League rules mean domestic clubs may have to pay compensation of up to £3 million, while European sides such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain would owe around £350,000.
