Lisandro Martínez fury at Jason Wilcox widely shared by Manchester United teammates

Manchester United players reportedly share Lisandro Martínez's frustration regarding director of football Jason Wilcox's recruitment strategy and the team's squad depth. Following a 2-0 Champions League defeat against Atlético Madrid on Tuesday, Martínez publicly criticized the club's hierarchy, stating he expected more from Wilcox after United's poor start to the season.

Wilcox oversaw a £155m spending spree on midfielders Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos, and Carlos Baleba, but failed to secure a left-back despite targeting Newcastle's Lewis Hall. With Luke Shaw sidelined by injury, players feel manager Michael Carrick lacks the depth needed to compete, while Martínez reportedly aims to leave United when his contract expires next summer.
