Lisandro Martinez slams Manchester United chiefs in furious rant after Atletico loss: ‘I expect more’

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez strongly criticized club executives and teammates following a defeat against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Speaking after a ten-man United fell to Atletico at the Metropolitano, Martinez expressed frustration over a lack of adequate squad investment following their previous qualification for European competition.

Martinez specifically pointed to technical director Jason Wilcox, stating that the squad expected more player additions from senior leadership to remain competitive. He also defended under-fire head coach Michael Carrick, warning against repeatedly changing managers while calling out teammates whom he felt did not try hard enough during the match.
