Manchester United enter the international break in a difficult position as Michael Carrick's job comes into question
Manchester United's hierarchy reportedly intends to back manager Michael Carrick despite a three-match winless streak that leaves the club 12th in the Premier League. Following a 1-1 draw at Fulham and previous losses to Brighton and Manchester City, the board is not considering replacing Carrick with Antonio Conte.
Meanwhile, 15-year-old prospect JJ Gabriel has reportedly lined up agent Ali Barat ahead of his 16th birthday on October 6 amid interest from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. United have rejected Gabriel's request to be de-registered, creating an impasse between the player and the club.
