Manchester United are 48 hours away from clarity on JJ Gabriel

Manchester United youngster JJ Gabriel could agree to leave the club in under 48 hours as he turns 16 on Tuesday. Gabriel's camp requested a departure last month, and his possession of an EU passport would allow a permanent move to an EU club, subject to strict FIFA approval for under-18 players.

United chiefs still hope to reach a resolution to keep the teenager at Carrington. Gabriel has recently been training individually in Castelldefels, Barcelona, amid discussions with Real Madrid and Barcelona, despite sporting director Deco publicly playing down Barcelona's involvement.
