Michael Carrick has shared his true feelings on Lisandro Martinez's moment of madness as Manchester United were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea.
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick reacted to Lisandro Martinez's red card during his team's 2-0 Premier League defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on October 31, 2026. Martinez was sent off for a second yellow card after elbowing Wesley Fofana inside the penalty box, leading to a converted penalty by Cole Palmer following an earlier opener from Morgan Rogers.
Speaking after the match, Carrick stated he had not seen the incident and denied feeling let down by the Argentine defender. The defeat extended Manchester United's winless streak to nine matches across all competitions, though Carrick confirmed he expects to remain in charge for the upcoming match against Roma.
