Estevao had impressed during Chelsea's previous 2-0 win over Manchester United.
Jordan Henderson returned to the starting lineup against his former club to form a midfield trio alongside Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. Additionally, defender Josh Acheampong was left out of the squad, with Pep Chavarria entering the starting eleven and Marco Palestra shifting to the right side of defense.
