Manchester United Women recover from a poor start with key wins and see Maya Le Tissier and Jess Park called up to England, while Ella Toone is omitted.

Manchester United Women players Maya Le Tissier and Jess Park have been called up to Sarina Wiegman's England squad, while teammate Ella Toone was left out. England will face Greece in a two-legged 2027 World Cup playoff, opening on October 9 in Crete before returning to Leicester on October 13.
According to The Guardian, Wiegman dropped Toone alongside Chloe Kelly due to recent performance levels, despite Toone's solid club form this season. Le Tissier currently holds 14 caps, while Park has 26 appearances and five goals for the Lionesses.
