Manchester United academy midfielder Jariyah Shah has been called up to first-team training ahead of the Chelsea trip.

Manchester United academy midfielder Jariyah Shah has trained with the first-team squad ahead of their Premier League clash against Chelsea. Head coach Michael Carrick faces an injury crisis, with Benjamin Sesko, Patrick Dorgu, and Manuel Ugarte ruled out, while Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw remain doubts. Alongside Jack Fletcher, the 17-year-old was spotted in senior training at Carrington as Carrick evaluates academy options amid squad absences.
Shah was born in Canberra, Australia, and joined United from Doncaster Rovers in 2023 before signing scholarship terms in 2025. The Australia Under-17 international has scored two goals in eight appearances for United's Under-18s this season. A natural midfielder who has also featured at right-back, Shah could push for senior minutes if first-team availability issues persist.
