Ex-Manchester United star Mason Greenwood will play his first match in England since January 2022 when new club Fenerbahce face Aston Villa in the Champions League on Wednesday

Mason Greenwood is preparing to return to England to face Aston Villa at Villa Park with Turkish side Fenerbahce in the Champions League. The 25-year-old forward has spent recent seasons rebuilding his professional career abroad following his permanent departure from Manchester United in 2024.
After a loan stint with Getafe, Greenwood joined Marseille for €31.6 million before sealing a permanent €39 million transfer to Fenerbahce. Internationally, Greenwood holds a Jamaican passport but previously declined a call-up, though England manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed he was not currently in consideration for selection.
