Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford were among the eight players to miss Manchester United's training session before facing Como in the Champions League on Wednesday…

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has ruled Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw, Ayden Heaven, and Marcus Rashford out of Wednesday's Champions League match against Como. All five players missed the final training session before the squad travelled to Italy. Carrick indicated that Martinez could potentially return against Bournemouth on Sunday, while Mainoo is sidelined for around 10 days and Shaw faces an even longer absence. Heaven is out with illness, and Rashford is managing a hip problem.
The Red Devils are already without long-term absentees Patrick Dorgu, Benjamin Sesko, and Manuel Ugarte, while Leny Yoro is serving a suspension. However, Carrick confirmed that defender Matthijs de Ligt has returned to full fitness after spending approximately 11 months on the sidelines with a back injury.
