Newcastle United are sweating over an ankle injury to William Osula…

Alan Shearer voiced concern over Newcastle United striker William Osula, who is an injury doubt after suffering an ankle knock against Everton. The 23-year-old Danish forward was substituted at half-time after a challenge by James Tarkowski. Shearer told Betfair that Osula should be Newcastle's first-choice striker if fit, as he offers a vital attacking threat inside the penalty box that the team has lacked.
Manager Matthias Jaissle confirmed Osula twisted his ankle and could not continue, leading to Yoane Wissa replacing him at the interval. Osula, who recently scored against Crystal Palace after recovering from an earlier ankle problem, will be monitored by medical staff ahead of Newcastle's upcoming fixture at St James' Park.
