Newcastle United could rip up their team sheet ahead of the clash against Fulham at the weekend…

Newcastle United manager Matthias Jaissle indicated he could make significant squad changes following a frustrating home defeat to Everton. Attackers Anthony Elanga and William Osula struggled to influence play as Newcastle resorted to 54 long balls that were easily repelled by Everton defenders Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski. A visibly agitated Elanga shouted and waved his arms at teammates during the match, prompting Jaissle to admit post-game that bypassing the midfield was not part of the tactical plan.
Everton secured victory at St James' Park through a close-range finish by Thierno Barry, while Newcastle's woes deepened with a red card for Jacob Ramsey. Despite Elanga hitting the post and further efforts from Yoane Wissa and Fabian Schar, the hosts failed to equalize and were booed off by supporters. Jaissle warned that maintaining squad faith requires balance, but strong performances in training make dropping underperforming regulars an increasingly viable option.
