The Story in 60 Seconds

Coventry City secured their first Premier League home win in 25 years with a 4-1 victory over Newcastle United on Monday night. Jack Rudoni opened the scoring with a penalty after goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek fouled Sidiki Cherif. Cherif doubled the lead shortly after halftime, and despite Sven Botman pulling one back for Newcastle, Ellis Simms and Stephen Mfuni added late goals to confirm the historic win for Frank Lampard's team.

The result moved Coventry out of the relegation zone, while Matthias Jaissle's Newcastle dropped valuable points following their second consecutive 4-1 league defeat. Newcastle dominated possession with 67% of the ball and produced 19 shots, but defensive lapses left them with just one clean sheet in their past 14 league matches.
