Former Everton midfielder Barry Horne has named Eddie Howe as a leading candidate to replace David Moyes as manager.

Former Everton midfielder Barry Horne has identified Eddie Howe as a strong candidate to replace David Moyes as Everton manager. Moyes faces an uncertain future with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign, while ownership uncertainty under The Friedkin Group has paused discussions on the managerial position.
Speaking on the Once a Blue podcast, Horne praised Howe's experience and work ethic but warned that Everton could face tough competition from Manchester United. Howe has been out of work since departing Newcastle United in July.
