Matthias Jaissle has praised "warrior" Joelinton in his first Newcastle United press conference after the international break…

Newcastle United manager Matthias Jaissle stated that midfielder Joelinton is progressing well following a thigh injury, calling the 30-year-old Brazilian a leader and warrior for the squad. Speaking ahead of Monday's clash against Coventry City, Jaissle emphasized that the coaching staff must handle Joelinton with careful load management as he returns to full training.
Jaissle also revealed that goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen faces around two months out due to a hamstring injury suffered with France Under-21s. Additionally, Newcastle participated in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Middlesbrough during the international break, where Dan Burn and Anthony Elanga did not play.
