Newcastle United star ‘sparks major police operation’ as he’s spotted with bow and arrow

Newcastle United defender Amar Dedic was questioned by Northumbria Police after being spotted carrying a bow and arrow near Harlow Hill on Wednesday. Six police vehicles, including armed units, responded to public reports before stopping a vehicle in the Darras Hall area and seizing the equipment. Authorities stated the items were intended for recreational use and posed no public threat.

Newcastle United reportedly does not plan to discipline the 24-year-old Bosnia international following the incident, though police inquiries remain ongoing. Teammate Mark Gillespie and former defender Paul Dummett happened to pass by during the questioning to offer assistance. Dedic remains available ahead of Newcastle's upcoming Premier League match against Fulham under head coach Matthias Jaissle.
