Sandro Tonali caught in ‘downed tools’ row as £100m Spurs signing shows true colours

Sandro Tonali has faced criticism from Tottenham Hotspur supporters following his £100 million transfer from Newcastle United. Managed by Roberto De Zerbi, Tottenham have failed to win a match and sit bottom of the Premier League table entering the international break, despite spending more than £300 million in the summer window.

Tonali has registered zero goals and zero assists across Tottenham's difficult start, which included a 2-0 defeat against his former club Newcastle. Former player Chris Waddle highlighted issues with team composition, stating that Tonali and other midfielders are too similar and the club lacks an attacking playmaker.
