Striker is now a doubt for Sunday’s trip to face Liverpool
Norway manager Stale Solbakken has downplayed injury concerns surrounding Erling Haaland after the Manchester City striker appeared to limp off during a 2-1 Nations League defeat against Portugal. Haaland asked to be replaced after 67 minutes and was substituted for Jorgen Strand Larsen, leaving him as an injury concern ahead of Manchester City's upcoming clash with Liverpool.
Solbakken explained that Haaland's early withdrawal had been discussed prior to the match due to a demanding schedule of heavy minutes. Manchester City's medical staff will assess the forward's fitness before their return to Premier League action at Anfield on Sunday, October 11.
