Nottingham Forest head coach Oliver Glasner revealed that he asked veteran striker Chris Wood to deliver an encouraging message to the squad regarding finishing. Ahead of Forest's fixture against Arsenal, training focused heavily on converting chances following a 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace where several players missed key opportunities. Glasner pointed to Wood's extensive career tally of approximately 200 goals in English football as the reason he asked the forward to address his teammates.
According to Glasner, Wood advised the team to maintain self-confidence and trust that another chance will come around the corner. While the 34-year-old forward serves primarily as a backup option and is expected to start on the bench against Arsenal, Glasner hopes Wood's leadership will help Forest resolve their recent struggles in front of goal.
