Nottingham Forest are 15th in the Premier League table but that position doesn't tell the whole story

Underlying data shows Nottingham Forest are significantly underperforming their expected metrics under new manager Oliver Glasner. Despite sitting 15th in the Premier League table with only five points from six games, Opta ranks Forest third in their expected table with 10.2 expected points.
The discrepancy stems largely from wastefulness in front of goal, highlighted by an xG of 3.34 during a recent 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace. Despite positive underlying statistics, Opta's season forecast projects Forest to finish 17th with 43.57 points.
