Manchester United are reportedly keeping close tabs on Lens' 16-year-old forward Mezian Mesloub. The Premier League club's scouting department has identified the Portuguese teenager as a target as they continue to focus on recruiting elite young talent. The interest comes as United face uncertainty over academy star JJ Gabriel, who requested to leave the club earlier this month.
Mesloub recently made his Champions League debut for Lens, registering an assist in a 3-2 win over Slavia Prague. United's chief executive Omar Berrada and sporting director Jason Wilcox are currently working to convince Gabriel to stay, but the club is actively building a wider pipeline of young talent under the INEOS recruitment model.
