Former Chelsea star makes ‘crazy’ claim over Regis Le Bris’ Sunderland future

Former Chelsea striker and BBC pundit Chris Sutton has labeled talk of sacking Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris as "crazy." Writing in his BBC Sport predictions column ahead of Sunderland's Premier League clash with Chelsea, Sutton argued that putting Le Bris under pressure is unreasonable after he led the newly promoted side to a seventh-place finish and Europa League qualification last season.

Sutton acknowledged that Le Bris faces major challenges, pointing out that Sunderland sits at the bottom of the table with only one league win while managing squad fatigue from European competition. Highlighting poor goalscoring form and a defense conceding nearly two goals per game, Sutton predicted a 2-1 victory for Chelsea at the Stadium of Light.
