Jordan Henderson Sunderland transfer revelation & Le Bris’ honest Xhaka admission

Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris revealed that the club held transfer discussions with Jordan Henderson last summer before signing Granit Xhaka. Le Bris noted that club leadership held talks regarding a potential move for the former Liverpool midfielder, but a deal could not be reached. The Black Cats subsequently signed Xhaka, who captained the team to Europa League qualification last season.

Le Bris also addressed recent transfer speculation involving Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso attempting to recruit Xhaka over the summer. While Sunderland currently sits bottom of the Premier League table ahead of facing Chelsea, Le Bris affirmed that Xhaka remains completely committed to the squad.
