Noah Sadiki scored a stoppage time winner as Sunderland battled back from behind to beat Torreense
Manager Regis Le Bris transformed Sunderland with a decisive quadruple substitution to secure a 2-1 victory over Portuguese second-tier side Torreense in the Europa League. After falling behind to Volnei Feltes' long-range strike in the first half, the Black Cats responded following second-half changes. Jules Ahoka headed in the equalizer before Noah Sadiki netted the stoppage-time winner in Leiria.
Le Bris made seven starting changes following a league loss to Brighton, but Sunderland struggled initially before introducing Nordi Mukiele, Granit Xhaka, Enzo Le Fee, and Reinildo Mandava in the 58th minute. The victory gives Sunderland six points from their first two continental fixtures ahead of next week's match against Lech Poznan.
