Regis Le Bris’ defiant stance after Sunderland suffer more home misery against Dinamo

Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris admitted his team is in an uncomfortable situation following a 2-0 home defeat against Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League. First-half goals from Luka Stojkovic and Dion Beljo handed Sunderland their first European defeat of the season, leaving the Black Cats with only two wins from their last nine matches across all competitions.

Le Bris made six changes to his lineup and later acknowledged that starting several young players was too difficult a challenge given current form. Despite being booed off at halftime and full-time, Le Bris maintained that he and his squad have the character to turn their momentum around ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture against Chelsea.
