Sunderland to host England Women’s rugby again with Six Nations clash vs Scotland

Sunderland's Stadium of Light will host England Women's rugby team on April 17, 2027, for a Women's Six Nations match against Scotland. John Mitchell's Red Roses will kick off against Scotland at 4:45 p.m. as part of their campaign. The match marks the team's return to Wearside following their previous appearance at the venue.

During their 2025 World Cup campaign, the Red Roses defeated the USA 67-9 at the Stadium of Light before a crowd of 42,723. Sunderland CEO Tom Burwell welcomed the return fixture, noting local enthusiasm for major sporting events. Early bird tickets have gone on general sale starting at £15 for adults.
