Sunderland have reportedly entered the race to sign Athletico Paranaense striker Kevin Viveros, facing competition from Premier League rivals Aston Villa. According to a report from TEAMtalk, Aston Villa have already made initial contact after sending scouts to monitor the 26-year-old forward regularly. The Brazilian club is reportedly seeking a permanent transfer fee between £25m and £35m to sanction his departure.
Viveros has recorded 19 goals and four assists in 32 appearances across all competitions this season, earning high praise from manager Odair Hellmann. In addition to Sunderland and Aston Villa, the Colombian striker is also drawing interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Russia.
