Spurs star steps up recovery with crucial step on road back to full fitness
Tottenham Hotspur star Xavi Simons has marked a significant step in his recovery from a ruptured right knee ACL by returning to solo training on the grass. The 23-year-old Dutch international shared video footage on Instagram showing him completing passing and dribbling drills in full Spurs training gear after undergoing surgery in May.
Simons suffered the serious injury in April against Wolves, which ruled him out of the World Cup. Meanwhile, manager Roberto De Zerbi prepares Spurs to face Coventry on Monday without Simons, Pedro Porro, Savio, Lucas Bergvall, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Wilson Odobert, though Dejan Kulusevski returns to the squad.
