Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Xavi Simons could return from injury sooner than expected, according to club insider Paul O'Keefe. The Dutch international suffered an ACL injury during a match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in April, just five months ago, but has recently revealed via social media that he has returned to outdoor training.
O'Keefe noted there is quiet confidence at Tottenham that Simons is progressing ahead of schedule. Manager Roberto De Zerbi has little reason to rush the 23-year-old playmaker back into action, as fellow attacking options James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski are also moving closer to full fitness.
