Alan Shearer has issued a warning to Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi ahead of the club's Premier League match against Aston Villa. Tottenham have endured a difficult start to the season and are still searching for their first Premier League goal. The poor run of form follows a massive summer squad rebuild where the club signed 10 new players.
Shearer stated that Tottenham paid over the top for several summer signings that De Zerbi specifically requested. The pundit also questioned De Zerbi's comments regarding player fitness and warned that the club's hierarchy will expect a return on their significant financial investment soon.
