Darren Bent believes Tottenham made a huge mistake in the summer by selling Will Lankshear to Championship club Middlesbrough.

Darren Bent argued that Tottenham Hotspur displayed big-club snobbery by selling young striker Will Lankshear to Middlesbrough during the summer transfer window. The 21-year-old forward has enjoyed a prolific start at the Riverside Stadium, scoring 10 goals in 13 appearances to lead the Championship scoring charts under manager Kim Hellberg.
Bent praised Lankshear as a composed, physical powerhouse who will soon reach the Premier League. While Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi stated he has no regrets about parting with the England Under-21 international, Spurs retained matching rights and a sell-on clause in the permanent transfer agreement.
