Former Tottenham academy graduate escapes injury after bizarre pitch‑roller accident

Former Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate Andros Townsend was involved in a bizarre accident during a pre-match warm-up in Thailand. A pitch roller reportedly crashed into and rolled over the winger while he was preparing for a match with his current club, PT Prachup. The incident occurred ahead of their fixture against Pattani F.C.

Townsend recently joined Thai League 1 side PT Prachup in the summer of 2026 after departing relegated Kanchanaburi Power. PT Prachup currently sit in fourth place in the Thai first division, just one point off the top spot after three games this season.
