Lucas Bergvall has signed a contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur that runs until 2031 and reportedly includes a 200% wage increase. According to Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen, the Swedish midfielder now earns £100,000 per week. The new deal adds two years to his previous agreement, which had been set to expire in 2029.

During the summer transfer window, Bergvall reportedly sought a move due to concerns over playing time following the arrivals of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes. Tottenham rejected a £46 million permanent transfer bid from Newcastle United before agreeing to the fresh long-term contract extension.
