Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven insisted in an interview with Goal Fanzone that he remains the fastest player in the Spurs squad. Despite current team speed tracking placing him eighth this season at 33.6 km/h, the Dutch center-back rejected suggestions that teammates such as Omar Marmoush or Savio are quicker than him.
Marmoush currently leads Tottenham's squad this campaign after clocking 35.1 km/h, ahead of Savio and Sandro Tonali. However, Van de Ven holds the Premier League record of 37.38 km/h, noting he would only potentially concede the top spot to on-loan winger Mykhailo Mudryk once he sees him at full speed.
