The Story in 60 Seconds

Tottenham Hotspur earned their first Premier League win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Coventry City on Monday. James Maddison opened the scoring in the 14th minute to end a 610-day goal drought in his first start following long-term knee issues. Coventry equalized through Jack Rudoni early in the second half before Omar Marmoush and Ben Davies secured the three points for Roberto De Zerbi's side.

The match also marked the return of Dejan Kulusevski, who made his first appearance in nearly 18 months as a late substitute. Coventry manager Frank Lampard voiced frustration over Marmoush's goal standing after an unpenalized high arm on Milan van Ewijk. The result lifted Tottenham to 16th place ahead of their upcoming London derby against Chelsea.
